Meet Claire and the story behind The Birdcage
Hi, I’m Claire, founder of The Birdcage. I began the business in my home conservatory during lockdown, following a career in education. What started as a small, personal space has grown into a four-room clinic, but the way I care for clients has stayed the same.
I am a Harley Street-trained advanced aesthetic practitioner with a particular interest in skin quality and subtle, natural-looking enhancements. I continue to develop my knowledge and training so that the advice I give reflects both the evidence available and the person in front of me.
My approach is to assess the whole picture. Changes in hydration, texture, facial support, lifestyle and hormonal stage can all influence how your skin looks and feels. For many clients, especially through their 30s, 40s and beyond, a considered plan works better than treating one line in isolation.
The Birdcage is built on honesty, quality and individual care. I will explain what a treatment may help with, its limitations, likely recovery and the commitment involved. I will also tell you when another option, medical advice or no treatment would be more appropriate.
We are proud to have received national recognition, including Aesthetics Clinic of the Year at The British Hair and Beauty Awards 2026. For us, the most meaningful part of the work remains the trust clients place in us and helping them feel like themselves, with renewed confidence.
Alongside clinic treatments, The Birdcage provides accredited beauty and aesthetics training. Our teaching reflects the same emphasis on assessment, careful practice and ongoing learning.
